An outlet for aspiring gaming journalists

I stumbled upon this forum accidentally today, which could be a good thing. Getting a job in any career usually requires a good portfolio.

Our new project, Zergwatch.Com (launched in Feb) is about giving bloggers and aspiring journalists in the gaming industry a place to publish their work outside of blog software and message boards.

You can read our online press release here

In a sense, you can see we are an Indy gaming media outlet. Our goal is to help aspiring writers and bloggers by putting their work in front of the masses.

When you publish your work to zergwatch, you own it, you own the rights, it back links to your webpage or blog and we're 100% hands off on the creative end.

Once its on Zergwatch, it is syndicated to several dozen other news syndication sites, social media sites and high profile blogs.

The downside of this unfortunately (for some of you) is that we do not want articles that you would see on the major media outlet's pages.

We want provocative, thought provoking, non-corporate influenced news that gamers REALLY want to read. Not just another "Here's why super smash bros. brawl is the best" type of articles. Gaming fiction is also welcome on our site.

If you're interest in posting your work on Zergwatch, you are more than welcome to try out our beta. We do not pay. Our service is free to writers and its free to use.

We hope to be the media outlet that helps independent bloggers and journalists get recognized and maybe get their feet into some doors.

Zergwatch is owned by StiltonCompany, LLC of Jackson, NJ. We have several very successful projects like Zergwatch in the Family Travel and Family Entertainment industry which receive millions of readers per year.

I also write the 2nd most popular gaming blog on mmorpg.com, Samhain's Zergwatch. In our first alpha testing period between Feburary 01-March 01 2008, we delivered articles to over 24,000 readers including some very influential industry leaders, producers and designers who have commented to us about the site.
