Sample game artist resume
I've been reading resumes (CVs) of game industry job candidates this week as a form of research.
Check out this amazing resume. I don't know this person, but his/her resume would absolutely get more than a passing glance in the game industry! It has a really beautiful and creative layout. http://seanmcnally.deviantart.com/ar...age-1-28051201 I hope it inspires you! |
That's an interesting idea!

Actually, I should note that the design is great, the skills section is great, but the "character information" is a little weak. It doesn't really sell the job candidate -- although then again it seems like s/he is not yet ready for a job anyway.
I guess I like the concept, layout, and skills section but feel the message overall could be much more declarative and descriptive. |
It looks like a pretty good concept but to me it just has too much going on and too little information for hirability. It would make a good supplementary sheet to a resume and it looks excellent.

Bloody fantastic.

I think it's very clever just needs some tweaking.

It's great to look at and I love the creativity but there's no real information there. He also put in things you are not supoose to put on a resume such as age. Take a formal resume that includes work experience, education, etc. and then add that layer of creativity and you will have an A-1 resume.

Yeah NOW THAT'S a great resume.

He spelled 'caffeine' incorrectly and there's a few other grammar problems in there. I realize he's not applying to be a book editor but the best resume ever would have been checked over and over again before being submitted to a prospective employer.
Also... stating that your weakness is wisdom = 'I make lots of stupid mistakes.' Not what you wanna tell an employer. |
