Using a Law Degree in Video Games

Where can a guy with a law degree go inside of the games industry?
Do publishers hire for legal departments out of law school or do you need to go the firm route and then hired in as in house counsel?

Any advice is welcome.

What type of law do you specialize in? I'm sure there are companies out there who could use your services. In today's industry Patent / Copyright / Trademark / Business Law Lawyers I'm sure are needed.

There are Lawyers who specialize in the game industry. witting NDAs, contracts, disclaimers, ect. I'm not sure about the development side of things though. In the end the industry is a lot more about what you are capable of doing rather then what you where taught to do.

i totally agree. there are definitely jobs for lawyers in games (contracts, IP protection, all that stuff) but there are also probably jobs that aren't necessarily strictly in the realm of law. are you a good business manager? development director? product manager? you probably have other skills that can be applied to areas of game development.
