Is it boring?

I was thinking doing game programming, I have heard that it can get really boring. If that is the case I don't want to do that. I just want to do something that going to keep me interested and not bored to tears.

What's boring is in the eyes of the beholder.. I find game programming more fun than any other game development position, but that's how I feel. If you enjoy figuring out math/logic puzzles all day, you'll love game programming. It's also very gratifying for me to see what I've done translate exactly to how the user will play the game. There are of course moments where you work on boring parts of the game, but I'm sure that goes with any job.

Yup, some parts are boring (for example I'll be spending the next few days copy & pasting translations from a text document into an excel spreadsheet), but at other times it's a lot of fun. You have to decide for yourself if you enjoy programming. If you don't, it's probably not worth it.

I'm pretty sure all jobs have their boring parts, and being a programmer is not different. I suggest you just try some programming, and see if you like it.
