QoL not just for designers

What you have heard is not specific to game designers only. The "quality of life" issue of overwork in the game industry applies to programmers and artists, too -- not just designers.

It depends on where the project is, in the course of development, and what is expected of you as a Game Designer.

I typically work 40/45 hours a week. During a crunch, that can be between 60-70, but that is rare.
