Well rounded degree program
I'm currently looking to goto school for video games and I'm having a hard time finding a school with a program that suites me. I want to be a sort of jack of all trades so I can devolop my own games, but most of the schools only offer a specific program degree. The three major things I'm looking for in a degree program are programming, art/animation and design. But most offer one or the other, so would it be best to goto school for art/animation and pick up programming myself? I'm unsure about how to proceed because I want to try a little bit of everything if I'm going to spend money for school instead of going into a specific degree and find out I hate that aspect of game devolopment.

So If anyone has any advice on the best approach to learning all the required skills or knows any schools that offer a well rounded program I would appreciate the help.

You should read the Education section of the GameDev Breaking In FAQs:

Big studios tend to want specialists over jacks of all trades. Also, watch out about Game Design degrees because they tend not to be useful outside the video game industry.

Degrees like Art, Animation, Graphic Design, Music, Computer Science (programming), and Computer Engineering(also programming) tend to be useful in other fields. A lot of big names have admitted that the video game industry lifestyle might not be ideal for everyone, which is why they recommend more general degrees.

I would attempt the programming route first since it's the most technical for obvious reasons. Also, for CS and CE degrees, you have to be good at math and science because they are engineering degrees. I say that it would be a good idea to take a $25-100 art lesson to see if you like art or not before paying tens or hundreds of thousands on a complete education.

Some colleges also let you minor in game design.
