Online Journalism - One of the Many Doors into the Industry

Massively just celebrated its 3rd Anniversary and posted a "Where are they now?" piece on some of the staff that had come and gone. Quite a few writers moved on to positions in Content, Game Design and Community after their gig at Massively.

Working for a fansite often puts you in contact with developers and gets you into various expos, cons and events that you probably wouldn't have attended otherwise. The experience, the knowledge and the networking are invaluable for those looking to get a job in the industry.

1. Can you tell us a number? Is that "two"? Or "fifteen"? What does "quite a few" translate to in hard numbers?
2. Yes. Definitely could be.

Not going to argue with you, Sloper. :)

Not looking to argue. Just want to know more about this "quite a few" writers who got jobs in the game industry, writing for games instead of about them. How many?

I am interested in more information on fulfilling that position.
