I am in the process of getting my portfolio up to speed for the upcoming East Coast Game Conference. If anyone has a spare moment to go through and let me know what stands out in any positive/negative capacity I'd greatly appreciate it!

I couldn't see your area of focus in the portfolio. Was it 2D? 3D? Information on each piece was scarce. What did the texture maps look like? Bump maps?
Your resume was hard to read as you didn't actually use bullets for the bullet points. It also seemed to be muddled. From the headings alone, I couldn't tell what was experience, work or skills. What did you do at each job?
Thank you for the very solid criticism Steven. I appreciate that you took the time to go through and provide some helpful feedback, I've already begun making some changes based on what I now see as obvious problems.

I have to agree with Yaustar in how your portfolio seems to lack a focus, I would suggest maybe picking one area to focus on and add a wider variety of pieces to that area, either 2d or 3d, unless you have something you believe is above amazing and you think people should have to see it to know your true capabilities.
Also to the resume, it seems a bit wordy, like you were fighting to fit in every little bit of information. You could probability cut it down to the jobs / education / etc, that would draw more attention to you, for lack of a better way to phrase it
Awesome feedback, I've made quite a few changes and I think it's a much more solid representation of myself now. Unfortunately I'm still relatively new to the field, so I'm working my best to flesh out my specialization. Luckily I'll have a fairly wide open summer to hone my skills and beef up my portfolio to get away from the generalist that I currently am.
