CM/PR type volunteer positions?

Hello everyone!

This is my first post on the site, but I check around once in awhile for anything, really.

I've become very interested in the role of community management/public relations in terms of video games. I would love to gain experience in this field by putting myself out there for any volunteer positions in this field for any gaming websites out there.

So if anyone is looking for any community management help, I'm here.
Further discussion of any thing, send an email to: bm.ps3@gmail.com

Thanks!
:)

CM are usually recruited from the forums much in the same way as moderators. Which forums do you frequent on?

True, however there seems to be an abundant of moderators on some of the forums I go to.
It's a bit hard for myself to contribute ideas when it's already being overshadowed by other that have been with the sites much longer than I have...

How are you going to be on anywhere longer then others if you don't start? Or find something that is up and coming like an Indie game or student project.

Then create your own community by running your own special interest forum. The Admin Zone is a good place to find out how to get started.
