Programming on the iOS
if I wanted to make an app for the iPhone, would I do it in C++? Or would I need some other language?I'm not making it anytime soon, I'm just working through a game development course (I know some people think it's worthless doing them and you should do a more computer course, but I'm not here to debate that and I'm about to move onto making 2D games (then 3D)
But I mean, I see all these super simple iphone apps, and I think....maybe there's a quick buck to be made there providing something that's actually worth it. |
Re: Programming on the iOS
There are quite a few choices for programming on the iOS platform so it depends on the App and what you are willing to spend. For example, I am using CoronaSDK with Lua.

Re: Programming on the iOS
Is anybody doing any iOS programming on a PC? I would love to try coding for mine but don't have the money to spend on a mac just to use one SDK.

Re: Programming on the iOS
It is doable. Look at the http://www.madewithmarmalade.com/ SDK.
CoronaSDK is also available on Windows. I still think you need access to MacOSX to publish the apps though. |
Re: Programming on the iOS
Thanks, I'll check those out.
And I'm sure you're right about needing a mac to publish. You can't even upload an ebook to the apple store without a mac... |
Re: Programming on the iOS
I vaguely remember someone providing a service to publish the app for you or being able to use a Mac on the 'Cloud' for a small fee. Something you could look into?
