I am currently in a class where we have to write a paper and (not required) code an example of a technique in programming. I was looking for good examples. Here are some that they gave us as examples. These are just examples they said we can write on any technique. I was wondering what would be a good thing to research and learn?

• Cloth Simulation
• Speech Recognition
o Advanced Grouping
o Advanced path-finding
o Sensory systems
o Rigid Body Physics
• Terrain Rendering techniques
• Image Space Rendering techniques
o Motion Blur
o Depth of Field
• Spatial Partitioning
It depends what you want to specialise in. Graphics, Physics or AI? They all sound about the same so choose the one that interests you most.
Well I have some interest in shaders so I guess I'll check out depth of field.
