You can start by making text adventures on your own. I haven't used it myself, but I know couple people who use Twine

You should get a website/blog to post your work, and then include the link in your signature when you post on forums. This way, people looking to collaborate with a writer can find you.
Don't limit yourself to just games. Make comics, try to get your short stories published, etc. Make yourself visible.
