The jerky sounds good, well done! I prefer baking myself, when I feel low or guilty I like to bake cakes. It calms me down and gives me something to eat to feel better!
I like cooking warm, hearty food like rice pudding (topped with flapjacks) and leek and ham cheese bake. The problem I have with cooking complicated dishes is that I get very annoyed if it's wrong in any way I will throw it out instead of trying to salvage it, so I end up using more ingredients than I should!
I do enjoy cooking though, when I get the chance. Chicken Fajitas are so easy to make and are really nice!
