soundfx is right imho
If sound design and fx are what you do best, do that - don't be afraid to specialize - there's a need for those skills. I'm an "old days" (mid '90s) music composer who was never asked to do FX, although several smart audio directors would at least get music and FX people together to brainstorm and co-ordinate. Would be a good to know ProTools well, although Logic's pretty cool for an all round DAW in my experience.
