Default Searching for good online programs in Game Art

Hello.

I am a young adult who wants to pursue a career in making video games, ideally creating my own studio with like-minded people. Specifically, i want to learn modelling, texturing, maybe also animation and effects if i get working with an indie studio. However, there is a slight problem resting in my way: i reside in Kazakhstan, so i need to find a scholarship that a) can be taken online, b) actually would teach me how to do what i need, and c) isn't crazy expensive (ideally free, but i don't think there are any free full programs). If anyone here could give me that sort of advice, that would be very much appreciated.

To get your toe in, look at Blender http://www.blender.org/

Plenty of tutorials online on the site and also it is free. This will at least get you started.

I know, i should've mentioned that i actually have Blender. However, i have long forgotten there are tutorials offered on the official site, hence why i was searching for that. Big thanks for pointing out that there are actually a lot of free on-site tutorials there.

I also thought that i don't have enough self-discipline to work all on my own, and that in general getting education would be swifter and more well-targeted than learning everything by myself. But there's nothing stopping me from trying to learn it by myself, so... eh. I'll try that first.
