Hi,
I've been looking at a variety of schools lately that specialize in Level/environment design. I've come across a few issues. Level design has been under both an art and science. I understand that there is a mixture of coding and art, but I'm having trouble finding a school with the correct description I am looking for. Under the "online counselor" I don't know whether I should be searching "game design" or "game art". Any help would be greatly appreciated. Edit: I've been playing around with Unity and Cinema 4D. So far I have checked out Full Sail, Art institute of Pittsburgh, and Westwood Colleges. Last edited by Bead : 10-04-2012 at 10:15 AM. |

You can go to any college. Study architecture, art, programming, and writing.
You don't need to go into excessive student loan debt with a specialized degree.

Is it all about connections? I've started to build a portfolio but not much to back up on it. I've been taking some 3D design and game design classes at a community college to help me get a head start if I do go to a major college
