Default About to choose a CEGEP

Bonjour de Montréal!!

Anyway, I want to be a Lead Game Designer (...one day). Though I am very VERY confused on what program to go in. On a website, it said that I should choose a 3D animation program. However when I went to a open house, the teacher told me there will be no conception involved and said to check out the 2D program (...which... didn't help at all). So what kind/type of program should I look for? (Please don't mention the Ubisoft campus, it's very hard to apply).

Also, I was wondering if it is possible for a Lead Designer to also be a character designer at the same time. Simply because 1) I love to draw 2) I like to know I get what I'm looking for. If it is possible, do I need to take 2 programs (i.e. Finish 3 years then go into the other)?

What website?
Open house where?
Why not Ubisoft campus? Because it is 'too hard'? Wrong attitude.
What role do you want to do?

CEGEP du vieux Montréal, the other schools are too far (unfortunately) and Dawson College still don't have any information at the moment.

A lot of student go there, so it's usually full quickly. Not to mention I'll be needing high marks (I only have an average grades) to get in.

Sorry, I have a habit of being a pessimist D: .

The person who concepts the storyline and gameplay. If I can, concept characters too.

Considering the site is in French, I can't help you much. However, about other schools, why not simply move?

At the moment, I live with my parents and I don't have the money to do so (it's very expensive moving there these days).

Just like that, is it better to go to a program with 3D animation/modeling or is going to a 2D imagery/Visual arts/Fine Arts okay?
