Default New Year's Resolutions?

Who has New Year's Resolutions? Let's hear them!

Instead of making typical resolutions to break bad habits or steadily improve at something, I like to create a short to-do list of things that I can actually accomplish and can concretely say I've done. For example, last year I made a list of things to do related to cooking, all of which were one-off thing that I could say, "I did that. It's done now!"

I haven't come up with a list yet for 2009, but I'll give it some thought tonight.

I already said mine on this forum: I'm going to start writing stuff down.

When I first started blogging (it's unrelated to games), I resolved to post a minimum of twice per month, just to get myself started. The following year I upped it to three times a month.

If anyone is starting or currently keeps a game-related blog, there's an idea for a resolution.

One of my resolutions is to stop putting my hand in so many cookie jars at once.

I tend to run out of milk about 3/4 the way through and those last few bites are hard to swallow.

This was a metaphor, right?

My long term resolution is to finally finish my BA degree (about time, after 9 years of dragging it on) and not to get last minute cold feet and actually make the move abroad for a masters degree and a persute for a gaming career.

My short term resolution is to finish at least one game for my portfolio (I have one in the making, and lots of ideas, just no time...)

Yes, a metaphor

My other resolution was to lose some weight so I look sexy for our trip to Mexico in June, so I can't actually have any cookies. Jeez, I sound so American.

Secondary objec... ahem, 'resolution': get job.

I'll be coming up with mine on the journey back to London. However, off the top of my head, I think I will be spending a lot less money on food bills next year by cooking more and have a really deep look at my time management skills since running a student society killed alot of my free time last year! Oh, and hopefully I will finish reading Code Complete and Game Code Complete this year (finally - those books are huge)!

Haha that reminds me. I need to cook more food other than rice and pasta. Thats my resolution of sorts. Should be able to do that now though with a new cook book I had for christmas.

and to buy an An xbox 360 before the end of the year.

There I've made 2. Both things that I ought to really do.
