Recommended books on XNA and C# programming

I tried to do a search but the search function wouldn't let me search the terms "XNA C# Books" for some reason.

So just like the title says, what are some good books on C# and XNA programming that are tailored for the complete novice programmer? I need a book(s) that approach the reader as if they have never programmed before. I'm sure this might be wishful thinking, but what the hell.

I always prefer to get opinions here over Amazon.com reviews.

Edit: Here's a list of books I've researched, perhaps someone can just assure me that they are good to begin with before I order them?

Personally, I would focus on learning C# as a language first. Then read the guides available at the XNA Creators Club Education Catalog. Also, check out the book reviews at GameDev as they may have some suggestions on what to read.

Very cool. I decided to just pick up Learning C# 2005: Get Started with C# 2.0 and .NET Programming (2nd Edition) as suggested by GameDev.net. Thanks!

It varies greatly, a brand new programming book can cost up to $50 new where as an older book can cost $15 new.

For example I recently bought "Who's afraid of C++" for $5 "like-new" used off amazon. Where that book new can cost up to $35.

Just search Amazon. 90% of the time, it's where you'll find the best price on anything.
