2. Most of my exprience has been proramming in Java (I would say 5+ years), with the last 1.5 years being server side programming (lots of scalibility, performance and multi threading related programming). I have programmed for 2-3 years in C and C++ before that. 3. Java, although I wouldn't mind going back to C++ or trying on C# (or XNA) 4. As mentioned, mainly server side and DB programming, I have been programming GUI applicaitons for a while. sadly I don't have games programming exprience yet. 5. Get some game programming exprience, learn new APIs or even languages. |

2. Actionscript 2.0 - 5, Python - 4, Java - 3. (Others too, yet mostly irrelevant or less than a year's XP.) 3. Python. (Not saying it's the best choice though, just my preference.) 4. I've done most of my school assignments during the past years in Python, including my MSc thesis project (which involves a multi-agent simulation). 5. I would like to make some awesome contributions to the game. Things that make players go, "Ooh! That's nice!".

I'm another person who is going to put a tentative "yes" up. With my job and a wedding approaching I don't really have much free time (and after spending all day making games, it can be difficult to get home and spend the evening making more games), but I may join in for various tasks, and will be around to help give advice if needed.
1. Name Chris 2. Programming languages, with years of experience in each C# - 2 years Java / j2me - 5 years C++ - 9 years (alas not much of it recently) PHP - 10 years 3. Preferred programming language C# because I it's faster to program in, but then I could also do with getting back into C++ so that's good too 4. Abilities within this language C# - I've used this commercially for 2 years creating tools for game development, I've also used it for XNA games. C++ - Experienced with DirectX 9, BSP trees, AI navigation algorithms and using the Windows "Beep" command to play music through the Mainboard speaker (Retro at it's finest) 5. What you would like to get out of the challenge I just enjoy making games (especially if they're NOT for mobile phones) |

2. C# - abt 8 months now c++ - I have programmed in C++, but not game programming 3. C# or C++: I am not really picky about language, but would prefer one out of these 2. 4. I have made games with C# and XNA. I have done some code architecture, input, collision etc. 5. What you would like to get out of the challenge: Experience. I have been making games on my own, without much feedback on the code quality, performance. I want to improve upon that aspect. |

Name
Michael Programming languages, with years of experience in each Java (2) C# (<1) C++ (<1) Lua (<1) PHP (3) Preferred programming language Java or C# Abilities within this language I've been studying Java as part of my degree and I've occasionally used it at work to create utilities or solve problems. C# is very similar and I picked up the extra features pretty quickly. However, I am much more familiar with the Java API than with .NET! What you would like to get out of the challenge I've not had the opportunity to engage in a team programming project. I would also like to get pointers on style, conventions and code efficiency.
