(Co)Sines

Just curious, what's the coolest thing you've created using sines or cosines? I know they can be used to emulate wave motion, or oscillating objects like a hovering spaceship or a light source swinging back and forth. What other uses can you think of?

I'm planning to write a blog post on the use of sines (based on my little experience) and would like to include some of your ideas. If you have a demo or screenshot of something cool I would love to see it!
