Spambots and 'active' members

Given the sheer number of spambots recently, I thought I take a look at the post count to member ratio.

~1000 members have 0 posts
~113 members have 2 or more posts
17 members have more then 10 posts

The huge number of 0 posts members makes me wonder if most of them are actually (inactive?) spambots. Maybe something can be done about the signup process?
