Default The right education

Ok so I have put a lot of time and thought, that was put into what part of the gaming industry I would like to be a part of and programming is it. I am going to be starting school soon and I know Computer science is the way to go. I am just not sure if the school I am thinking about going to is the right one, with the right courses here is the course for computer science. I was thinking about starting off with an Associates degree first and then later get the bachelors.

Does anyone have any thoughts on if this is a okay route to take to get into the video game industry as a programmer??

So you have narrowed it down to either going to that particular school, or... what exactly?
The best thing is to have a number of schools to decide between.

Well I guess since my area does not have many options. I am worried about what actual classes I should be taking within this school before i try to transfer to another, for a Bachelors degree.

Marc,
Don't worry yourself about what classes you "should" be taking to satisfy some hypothetical unknown hirer. Take classes required for the degree, and other than that, just take whatever classes you WANT to take.
