Default Savannah College of Art and Design?

I'm strongly contemplating attending this college. For either their interactive design and game developement, animation, visual effects, or graphic design.
I was just merely wondering if anyone has attended this school and their personal opinions on it.

Also, if someone was to major in, say, graphic design but was aspirating to be a game artist of some sort, would that degree apply?

It would be relevant but I doubt it will teach you all the skills and tools you need to be a 3D modeller/animator.

Graphic design is good for product packaging, advertising, and websites. There might occasionally be uses for that in games, but probably not.
And don't forget to exhale once in a while.

SCAD offers Rising Star programs for students interested in exploring art in an academic setting. Pre-college: Rising Star is a five-week residential program for students who have completed their junior year of high school and wish to earn university credit. Participants enjoy full access to SCAD facilities, including classrooms, computer labs, studios, production suites, libraries, galleries, theaters, bookstores and fitness centers. Students live in a SCAD residence hall and have their meals at a SCAD dining facility.

I took graphic design as my undergrad degree in an unrelated college. I can safely tell you that apart from helping you build good work ethics and maybe train you in some basic design sense, graphic design has nothing to do with game art. If you are interested in illustration or game art, take illustration or game art
