Is this game programming course worth the take???

Hi guys,

My name is Vinay and I am an from Bangalore,India . I have completed my BE in electronics , I have done C/C++ programming from NIIT(a recognized Institute) and I have 15 months of work experience as a software engineer, TATA Elxsi.

But my main interest lies in Game programming. I am looking to do some courses in foreign universities.

I heard there are good courses and opportunities in Canada. When I looked into the colleges' websites I saw the following courses being offered.

Advanced Diploma in Game Development:
1. Algonquin College - 3yrs
2. Fanshawe - 1 to 2yrs
3. George Brown - 3yrs (Game Programming)

and many more....

But my dilemma is will these courses get me a JOB in that same country?

PS : It would be very helpful if anyone studying/studied in these colleges or a counselor can post some more information on these courses.

1. No. No course will get you a job. YOU have to get the job yourself.
2. No. If you're interested in working in Canada, you need to research Canadian immigration laws, and figure out how to do it.

@tsloper your reply although informative(I know them already) is taken in a wrong sense. My implication is towards the quality of the education provided.

I shall rephrase my question.

Is the quality of the education very good? Are they recognized by all over the world game development companies? Are they recognized in Canada itself? Do they have the same weight as that of Masters programs(MSc Game Development) offered in different UK universities?
