Game Design Challenge: Bringing It Back

Hello everyone! Our latest Game Design Challenge has begun!

This time, we ask you all to design a game based on a franchise that hasn't seen a new entry in at least five years.

Games like EA's new SSX and Syndicate titles have taken older franchises in some new and interesting directions -- what would you do to bring back a classic?

One question: Can games like Vagrant Story, Threads of Fate, Live-A-Life, etc, be considered a franchise too?

oninego: Sorry for the late reply! We were all a bit tied up over the past few weeks with the Game Developers Conference and such. For future Game Design Challenges, feel free to get creative -- as long as you can justify your decisions in your design, then go for it!
