In terms of cost, mainframes such as those from the IBM System Z series are cheaper to operate over periods of time than conventional server farms. Generally, because of the overheads associated with server farms. However, they're not really worth it until a substantial level of processing is required.

I can vouch for vbgore. It is a 2d mmo maker but it is solid if your willing to put some time in. It is way ahead of other options I have seen. Just google it, I am not sure if I am allowed to give out links here.

I do know how to program atleast some in alot of places.

I can work quite well in java and have made a few really small and pretty bad games.

I did python for a while to start of with and also got some stuff done but I didnt like the way you would need python to run and python programs.

I can do html and with it css and some javascript, so I can make pretty good websites but I'm still making my current one so dont judge it.
