Aengelius,
Here's a little proofreading to perfect your submission (a few typos to be corrected) In para 1, 'country' should be 'countries' In tips and strategies, 1st point: 'dices' should be 'dice' 5th point, remove one of the 'creating' (you've doubled them) Otherwise, looks like a good, clear submission. Good luck! |

Hey guys, is it too late to submit? It's 11.51 AM here in Italy and I plan to do it this evening, so 12 hours from now. Is it too late?

Not sure if it will be too late, but it will definitely be cutting very very close to the deadline. There doesn't appear to be a specific time for closure of the challenge, so theoretically, some time before midnight pacific time should do it...I think...
![]() In the meantime, this is what I was talking about in terms of a circular template. Does this make it any easier to keep track of info and refer to it when needed, or is this simply a gimmick upon which I can print a nifty old-school map of the world or paint it up like a cannonball... ...and I've just discovered that my file is 7 Kb too large and cannot be attached. Oh well, sorry for getting your hopes up with my announcement of this cutting edge player aid. The idea was to have information arranged in such a fashion that the information I believe would be referred to most often (and it's only a belief, I haven't played Risk in a couple decades) is in the center of the card. Information relating to the conduct of a play turn is located around the middle of the card, forming a 'wheel' around the center. this allows players to rotate the card to keep track of what part of the turn they are in...in case their memories are as good/poor as mine! Around the very outer periphery is statistical data that indicate the odds of victory for a given attack profile (e.g. 1 dice vs. 1 dice up to 3 dice vs 2 dice). The circular approach did limit the amount of space I was working with, as I made the template fit within an 8.5X11 page, so I lost the top and bottom of the pages for available working space, but brevity is the essence of wit, right? The big issue I could not address is the use of the Risk cards. I threw in as a simple reference to remind the players about the cards, but did not explain how the risk cards are supposed to be used. I cannot remember the details and the rules I could find online were vague or contradictory. Having said all of this, is there someone else who has tried (or will try) something like this, or is the preference to keep the information on a standard 8.5X11 format? |

Send Jill a message if you are unsure. I think it'll be ok.

I would take in mind others parameters: -ease of production (print) -usability -coherence -resistence ...

Congrats to all on the challenge!
There are some very concise minds out there! Unfortunately, as good as the entries are, I don't think I'd win any more risk games with these...I'd just take less time to get beaten! ![]() |

Congratulations to everyone!
I neither ever clearly understood how to win at Risk loll. Even when using concise strategies, it seems I always lose! |
