Personally, I'm not a big fan of quotas unless you're going to go totally structured, like my parents did for a long time. Even then, it wasn't as rigid as "you can only play for x period of time". Having days to work on paticular tasks or activities worked pretty well; especially when we did things as a family. However, rigid time restrictions caused many arguments, tantrums and fallouts.
