I have a hankering for some online FPS action. Anyone know what's good and popular right now?
I've been playing a lot of Battlefield 2142 recently, but I'm getting tired of it. Same goes for Call of Duty 4. I was thinking about getting Frontlines, as it seems very Battlefield-y, but I'm not sure if it's played a lot online. Any of you play it? You like it? Of course there's Battlefield Heroes coming in the next few months, but I doubt that'll really curve my appetite.

Ah yes, I was afraid to get those answers...
![]() I was sort of hoping that due to some miraculous occurrance of selective amnesia, I had forgotten what good FPS games are out today. I tried CS of course (Source, mind you), but that's just not my game. Dying in the first minute and then watch others play... Not my idea of fun. I'm just not hardcore enough. ![]() Team Fortress is the other obvious choice I guess. I have the Xbox version, so is it worth renewing my Gold account for? I could of course just rebuy the Orange Box for PC (would be cheaper, actually!), but rebuying games feels so wrong, you know?

Day of Defeat is also quite good.

Yeah, but twice? You remind me of Tim Schafer when he kept insisting everyone should buy multiple copies of The Excellent Game (i.e. Psychonauts).

That was a great game I wish I had bought more copies. But I am just saying as you said it would be cheaper so go with it.
