Independent Funding

So I've had a lot of people ask about how to get funding as an independent developer. I'm starting to seek more information about this, and it turns out there's a new investment firm from one of THQ's own: Shiraz Akmal. He's now Managing Director of GCube Ventures, which says it offers funding for everything from development to publishing to distribution and then some. Just an interesting thought. They refer to it as the "gaming ecosystem."
