Default degree vs. certificate?

I've been considering going to Centre for Arts and Technology in Halifax, Nova Scotia for their 2 year 3d gaming animation program. It's sort of expensive compared to regular 4 year arts programs at other canadian universities.

My main concern is it only offers a certificate. are people with degrees at a higher advantage in getting jobs? I'm nervous to go here even though the facilities are wonderful and the quality of work i've seen coming out of it is pretty good. I know most people say that it doesn't matter where you go, but what your demo reel looks like, however I can't help but think that sometimes the reputation of the school you attend helps you out a bit.

any advice?
thanks in advance.
