(No idea if it actually is fun to play, though.)
Well, it is a fun game, I can't say it is the most fun I've had playing a video game, but there is a much bigger insentive to try and find all the secrets in all the levels because it gets you accessories for your character (the Sackboy) and for making levels.

I didn't get to play someone else's custom level yet, they have some problems with their servers and I keep getting disconnected when trying to download one, this also makes online play close to impossible.

The one complaint I have so far is that I think that the physics system is a bit unforgiving and I seem to die stupid and unnecassary deaths at times, I also don't like the fact that you have limited lives, I hate restarting levels after dying close to the end.

Can't you put checkpoints in the levels? Or warp cells that unlock as you progress, perhaps? (Like Banjo Kazooie's cauldrons.) Restarting levels is soo last millennium.

There are checkpoints, but if you die a certain amount of times before reaching the next checkpoint you have to start the level all over again, once you reach the next checkpoint you get your lives back (I actually didn't really get how many lives you get for each checkpoint, the only clue you have is an annoying horn sound when you reach your last life, it's probably written somewhere in the manual, which I didn't read... )

Yeah, that sounds like GameFly to me. I still love it, though.
