Hello guys,
I'm solo/indie game creator and I would like all RPG fans to check out my game. Photos in FB: https://www.facebook.com/dakijarpg About me I had the game in my dreams for 2 years and now it’s like 1.5 year since I'm coding it. Game had #1 alpha testing in spring and now is heading for #2 alpha. I’m planning to releasing open beta on spring at 2013. Main goal of doing this is that I like RPGs very much, but I was unable to find the one similar to mix of these games: ragnarok online, heroes of might and magic and baldur's gate (plus my fantasy). What I think is a perfect RPG game? * Totally free and you don’t have to pay for premium stuff to be the best. * Simple game at the start, but goes deeper and deeper when youre playing. * Tactical fights like in Heroes or Baldur's Gate. * You have a field for a battle and action points, not just like I-hit-you-hit system. * Lots of choices for building your hero. * Lots of items to choose from. No to one-best-way-build. Also personalized items against undeads, demons and so on.. * Controlling more than one character in battle field for more tactical choices. Currently thinking of 3 (your hero + mercenary + NPC), but will be 5 eventually in late beta. * Different mercenaries and NPCs fighting with you. (not only fighter, mage and archer, but also knights, thieves, rogues, clerics, tacticians, druids..) * Should be easier to hit in the back, than face-to-face. * You can block incoming attacks with fighter, whos standing in front of spellcaster. * Multi-way to completing quests. * Game has something to do when you dont feel like doing quests or killing monsters. * Game has some value, like never-dying knowledge from the books. If you are still reading As a solo creator I really need community's support right now. Read full information about the game at indiegogo campaign page: http://www.indiegogo.com/dakija and support the game if you like it. Now its the time for me to choose, but my decision depends on crowd funding. If I get funded I may continue the project or else I have to go work elsewhere becouse I’m running out of money. Additional help Besides supporting me with real money, you can share my FB and indiegogo page, like facebook page. Thank you! Thank you for your time and ask anything you want. I'm willing to answer ![]() |

Honesly, I’m seeking for the answers, the project just doesn’t move forward, what I’m doing wrong? Maybe you know? This is my dream and, I guess, I fail to transmit it to others. I’ve been working all my free time on this game for almost two years, but now it’s just isn’t moving! Do you know how I could improve? Please tell me that, positive or negative, it can be the searched answer.

How are you marketing the game?

And how's that working out for you? I recommend you do some actual marketing.

What do you mean with real marketing? Buying ads on facebook or so?

You asked "what I'm doing wrong" -- I suggest that the problem is that you simply launched your game, hoping it would simply sell itself. I suggest that the problem is that you are not marketing your game (flooding forums is not enough). I cannot tell you how to market a game -- I am only a producer/designer (others have always marketed my games). I suggest that you buy some books on marketing, take some classes on marketing, read some articles about how to market games.

No hard feelings. Well one thing I'm flooding forums, but on other hand I found a lot of people interested in the game there, though, they don't seem to into or cant support right now.
Also found out other big problem - flexible campaign. In two days, after launching the game, I got 100+ registered players, maybe it takes time for players to attach to a game. Hmm... dont't know, but indiegogo opened my eyes, becouse I found out many other possible funding ways and even a team member - good writer ![]() |
