An english bachelor gradute, video game industry, where do i start?

Hi, im an indonesian with a bachelor degree in english, ive already worked for a year as an RnD in a non formal educational institution, my ussual job is to make new stuff for the students and video game has been my inspiration, also alot of my ideas for out of classroom activities came from video games.

Gaming has been my passion since i was little and it still is today, and im planning to take a master degree in gaming so i can start making games in my own country.

my question is, what do i need to qualify to even learn about video games? I dont have any proggraming or design experience, though i have a little creative writting experience from my english class during college

I plan on going for the production route, though, i have little info about it, i talked to some local game dev, and their producers does not have any programing or art experience what soever. Do really dont need to have any programming or art basics to be a game producer? In case i want to learn the basic on art and programming, just to prepare my self, what should i learn first?

1. And you already forgot that the word "I" must always be capitalized, and the contraction "I'm" must always include an apostrophe? I'm shocked!

2. Are you saying you want to start a game company of your own? Because if that's the case, then I'd recommend a masters degree in business, not games.

3. Producers are project managers. The prerequisites are: a) a resume of work experience, and b) several years working in the game industry (in any role).

I have red trough the article that you gave me, and i am shocked. It was a major slap into reality to be honest Especially article number 43 "the idea man"
Because i can totally relate to that guy, although he is alot braver that me, to think that he just call a producer and said he had the greatest idea ever is beyond me. Still that was a brave act.
