About designing a MOD

Hello, while looking at the forums i found that a good way to begin skilling myself its making a MOD, i like a lot the RPG games, i would like to make a MOD like Elder scrolls IV, but i dont know how to begin, where to download it and what do i need to do a MOD, if someone can give me some info i would be very apreciate.

Find a game you want to MOD/make levels for and Google.

Sorry, but without knowing which game you want to MOD, pointing you to a resource is impossible as each game has their own tools or in a lot cases, not moddable.

E.g: "I want to MOD Unreal Tournament 2004"
Googling "Unreal Tournament 2004 level editor" gives this Wikipedia Entry.
In the links of the Wiki, it gives this website: Unreal's Developer Network and UnrealWiki.
