Default Superhero Fashion! in NY

Interested in Superheroes?

There's going to be a free event June 22 at The Met on superhero fashion. I imagine game artists would get a lot out of this.

Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy is the exhibit at The Met. On June 22, from 10 to 5, there will be an "all-day event of lectures and panel discussions brings together leading international scholars, critics, and designers to discuss the world of costumes and comics. Themes include the appropriation of the uniform, the adaptation of superhero costumes for the screen, the creation of modern mythologies, and the role of the superhero as metaphor in contemporary society. Free with Museum admission; reservations and tickets not required."

and

for more.

I won't lie, I thought about a whole awesome line of shirts and accessories. I already own Superman and Flash tshirts... and a Black and Silver Classic Batman Logo belt buckle... ah well. I guess this is cool too.

One thing I have noticed going to different studios is how every studio seems to have at least one of every superhero in their midst. Superhero tshirts rock.

I'm missing out on a lot of cool NYC events. I wish I was there quicker...6 more months.
