So i've been thinking about going into to the game industry for a few years and now i'm motivated to get started. My problem is that I have no idea where to research anythng, probably because I don't know what to research. I've looked around a little and the programmer position caught my eye but I dont really know what else is out there. If someone could just point me in the right direction to a good place or site to research game positions it would help alot.

Thanks! That gave me the info I needed.
I was also wondering about schooling. If I wanted to be in programming what sort of classes would be best for me? I've read a couple of posts that mentioned Computer Design as well as C and C++ which i'm guessing is coding but I'm not too sure. |

For a programmer, Computer Science is the most common course.
Currently, you need to learn C++ programming language if you want to work in the games industry, a Computer Science course is mostly likely be teaching you a higher level language such as Java or C# so be prepared to learn in your spare time.

If you're into mobile games, you could proberbly get along with just knowing Java and BREW. It all depends on what you want to do.
