This might be a cheap shot and definitely does not make use of all the iPhone's features (I haven't the faintest idea what it can do, other than being aware of some of the hype), but I think it would definitely rate as a strong candidate for the 'gaming fringe' market.

Mobile Poker (online and offline -- iPoker would be a great title, but it looks as if it's been used a zillion time before!)

With the huge rise in interest in poker, it seems like an awesome platform for the prospective player on the go. Either play for digital cash, or the real thing.

Maybe we could help push the limits if we are more aware of what the iPhone can do. Is there anyone out there who is familiar with it, or better yet owns one? What is so neat about it? Why is the iPhone different from a standard cell phone or MP3 player? How responsive is the touch screen? What kind of graphics/processing can it handle?

Yet again, a great challenge! I am so glad that I've found this site! Keep those creative powers flowing!

Absolutely. Posting your idea here will let others bounce their thoughts off of you and help you improve your final concept. There's a lot of improvement that can be made in a week.

If you go back and check out the other challenges (I've only been around for 3 so far, but there are others here with a lot more experience), you'll see that concepts evolve (and sometimes grow, er... out of control) over the course of the challenge and all kinds of new ideas are generated thanks to the initial input.

There's even the potential to team up with others here to devise a super solid concept.

Yeah, like "Skipping Phones" ... it's a social game where you and your friends gather at the edge of a lake and see how many skips your iPhone will make.
