Who says a weapon cannot promote love? What about a gun that fires feramone capsules, causing NPCs to hopelessly fall in love with the protagonist? Or cluster grenades that scatter kittens upon impact. Deadly kittens of love with razor sharp nails.

In the assignment details there is the restriction that the weapon should fire projectiles. Things like laser or lightning bolt can be considered as projectiles? They are very common in some themes.
I’m currently only exploring new ideas. The following are the first ideas that comes to my mind (not sure if I will use one of those): 1. Demon incubator: similar to a grenade launcher it shoot eggs of demons. After a short while the demon born and attack your enemy. The demon will become stronger killing enemy (it grows in size or get new abilities). 2. Gravity Attractor launcher: it's similar to the sticky bombs in TF2. The gravity attractors remain attached to the first object or enemy it encounter in his trajectory. When the player press the secondary fire button every object or enemy within a certain distance to the gravity attractor is pulled toward it. 3. Human cannon: The player is the projectile of this weapon. When you shoot you are transformed in a fire ball that can pass through organic things (enemy) and do a lot of damage. In this form you have a limited amount of movement. After a short time (or when the player press the fire button) the player returns to his original state. It can be used to kill enemies or to pass through obstacles (using it as teleport device). |

I'd say lightning and lasers are NOT projectiles and therefore disqualified.

Either is acceptable. Which would you do a better job of?

Hehe, one of my friends is making a game with a behaviour gun. It's like a gravity gun, but changes the way in which things behave!

![]() I actually have some kind of invisible gun in mind, since this is a student game, it will cut down on art and animation costs and will be very helpful in situations where you can't carry weapons (in jail for example). I still need to figure out how the player will know it's holding the gun or where it is aimed at. hope I'll have the time to think this one through ![]() |
