Where to begin?

I'm 18 years old and I'm looking forward to develop myself as a Writer
which would include dialogue, character descriptions or the plot itself.

I would like to know what's the best way to start myself in this career? Which graduation would be recommended and what else could you say to help me in this matter?

Jill should be able to help you out, the person who runs this website, since she herself is a writer. I'm tempted to say a degree in English Literature.
