I just made a new blog that will be about my journey into the game programming industry. I hope that it will be a great reference point years from now for someone trying to enter the industry.

Good luck! I did the same thing, and a year letter I had a job in the industry! It really helps you to focus on your goal.

Yea same here, I think it helps you keep yourself focused, and allows others (employers) to see that focus. Good Luck!

You think posting too many details would be a bad thing (like what college I should go to? As in making the post asking people for feedback?)

I think that could be cool if you researched a bunch of schools and then used your blog to compile your findings.

I actually plan to make a blog post like this really soon! It's going to be a very large one with all my thoughts on the industry and colleges ect... (with graph pictures too /shinny)

So I hope you guys take the time to go over and subscribe because I want all the comments I can get with my blog posts. I'm still on the fence to take up web programming or game programming (two VERY different choices for me)

That's exciting news, alaskajohn and Gshonk! I'm in the same boat as puddinlover and hoping to make an entry into the field in about a year or so. I have five books I'm going to be learning from soon (three of which were recommended for Ian Schreiber's design course)

Ya I post daily in my blog and I actually just made a post asking people their opions on piracy.
