You may also want to go pick up a copy of Unreal Tournament 3 and screw around with the latest Unreal Editor - not so much for the scripting (although it's good to get familiar with that sort of thing) but for getting familiar with how to make a level.

yeah i was gonna say you should play around with unreal tournament 3 as well. just to make ur portfolio abit stronger. its also good to see how other editors operate too. 3dbuzz.com and youtube have plenty of video tutorials

try learning 3D modelling as well for your portfolio. Maya and 3D Studio Max are the main ones (Maya is my fav). theres plenty of video tutorials on youtube and 3dbuzz.com

Okay not been doing much looking into to it. But then again I was busy with assessments etc. But I'm getting back into with the Game design Concept course, and hopefully by doing this course I will understand a little bit more whether it is for me or not.

However, I am bad with using google sketch up or actually anything to do with designing on a computer as I get impatient with it... Something that I need to overcome, but that will probably happen if I keep practicing and actually get better at using it.

But I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who posted in my thread, thanks for contributing and helping.
