Hey everyone I'm new here. I'm currently taking my last semester of classes in a bachelor business major in college. My business major was basically a broad range of different business classes like marketing, accounting, etc. So I was wondering, what kind of job can a person with a business major can get in a video game company?

Production would be your best bet, though trying to get a job with publishers is also a good idea.
Sometimes you get some business specific roles pop-up, but they aren't common and production would be the closest I see to it for studio-work. Publishers are both marketing and business though, but don't deal directly with making a game. That's the short answer, the long answer would point you to a few links, but if you've found this website and you're truly a business student, you should have good enough research skills to find a ton yourself.

Production, Marketing, PR, Accounting all should be applicable.

I think I would be interested in marketing the video game. But will marketing make me work close to the development of the videogame because that is what I really want. What do I need to do or what I'm i missing to make that happen.

If you want to work with the development team, then I would suggest pursuiting a production role.

Out of the ones that are applicable to a business degree, Production and possibly Development Management. The former is still relatively detached from the day to day development of the projects and on 'checking up' from time to time.
