Ever since I can remember, I've wanted to design video games. My "dream position" is creative director for a company, then eventually I would like to start my own company. I am still in high school and plan on getting a business degree when I am done. From there I want to begin working my way up a company. I am wondering though, if I have a degree in business and not one in game design, is the possibility of becoming a creative director still there? What things can help me on the way?

A. Yes. Q. What things can help me on the way? A. Researching the career path to becoming a creative director. Reading about designing games. Making games/levels yourself. Learning about the development process.

Makes sense. Thanks!
I feel much more informed now ![]() I think I'll find a job as a tester after I get my degree, then go back to school for design. Last edited by megawest : 07-05-2009 at 08:56 AM. |
