College student seeks help!

hello all. To make a long story short. I am a 2nd year game design college student. I have one more year until i graduate and unfortunately i was terminated from my college for failing a class two times. In the letter, the Dean said if i want to come back i have to write him a reinstatement letter, so that's what i did. It's been about 4 weeks and no letter from him yet. Is this good or bad? I am thinking of going to his office in person and talk to him. Is this a good idea? My friend suggest that I go see the Chairman of the game design, but i'm not sure if i want to drag him into this, he is a really cool guy though.

Please help me decide what to do. Go see the chairman of game design or go directly to the dean? Should I email them first? Who first? Thanks all!!!
