#2 on my list of depressing truths. Right after: "Santa Claus doesn't exist.". No. but really... I'm glad that in recent years I have changed a bit from this stereotype of aspiring game developer.
I also think that this video is pointing at work in big game companies (no creativity, responsibility only for small part of development). And for indie developers there is whole bunch of another problems (like you will lose much more if your game will be bad). But on other side you can freely express your creativity (if you can afford the bet). One way or another, being game developer seems like lots of hard work, but which work doesn't. |
