Degree in Business

I currently am pursuing a degree in Business, maybe with emphasis on Marketing. My end desire with my career is to work as a Game Designer I was just curious as to if a business degree is a smart path for somebody to take to reach my end goal. Thanks for the time

Is it a "smart path"? Well, it is if you enjoy it, and/or if your end end goal (beyond your end goal to work as a game designer) is to run your own game business, or if your breaking in plan to become a game designer is to start in marketing.

my breaking in plan is to start in marketing, I have always enjoyed marketing and business . My ultimate end plan is to run my own game studio. That is a while down the road though and I am taking baby steps atm.
