I work for a company that is building an educational/passion discovery system for teenagers. My job is to build out a huge educational area that extensively covers gaming from top to bottom.
The idea is for a teen to be able to explore their passion, in this case gaming, and learn about everything associated with that in order to paint a life path they may want to follow through college and into a career. Here is the categories I have so far:
Are there any categories having to do with gaming that I have left out or should change? I'm trying to be as extensive and thorough as possible. |

I am assuming that this is going to be more like a flow chart/branch diagram then a linear list in final form?

Yes, pretty much a branch diagram. The system works by taking a teenagers interests and merging that with real learning plus giving them a look at branches from their interests.
From the games category, as one travels through the branches could eventually lead a teenager from gaming into medicine or law, depending on which direction their interests take them as they learn. In order to get it perfected, we would have to build out gaming to be absolutely inclusive of everything from retail to the janitor that cleans the studio offices. This is needed so that the students can get a picture of where their talents (writing, negotiating, analyzing, troubleshooting, etc.) can be merged with their passions for an ideal path in life to follow. I mistakingly left Marketing, Community Management, and PR off of that list. Any ideas for more? |
