Default Development Studio

I know this is maybe thinking too far ahead of myself but how would you set up your own development studio? Obviously you'd need an office, staff ect but what else? Do you need to register yourself as a company? Get a legal advisor? ect ect.

Thanks,
Rybo

You would need Financial people
a name
a logo
a building
a team of artists
a team of programmers
a Software development Kit or Game Engine
Time
Money
lots of pizza
Computers
a budget
managers
security (or not)
thats all I can think of at the moment

A game/playable demo (vertical slice) and a lawyer. That's the bare minimum needed to get studio running. Anything else comes after that.

A game/vertical slice demo and a lawyer is the bare minimum you need to start a studio in that order. Anything else comes after that.

I eventually want to start my own company too, but first I want to get into the industry and get used to it.
Just remember games are always evolving and growing. You will constantly be under pressure to adapt and change as well.

Agreed, I have learned much in the past year from being in the industry and talking to veterans then I could ever on my own.

Erm, not sure what/who you were directing this to so I have no idea how to reply to this.

I was just making a statement
Games are always changing, so is the industry. So everyone has to try and keep up.
